A meditation on repetitive human and architectural patterns, from photo and film footage shot around Berlin's Hauptbahnhof. Specific elements are extracted isolated and reassembled forming an isometric and surreal human landscape.
Video/audio installation, 41 min loop, 4k
A meditation on repetitive human and architectural patterns, from photo and film footage shot around Berlin's Hauptbahnhof. From this material, specific elements are extracted and then reassembled. Although the reassembled scenes are derived from the original footage and locations, they resemble fragmented memories, much like a dream. These scenes appear exaggerated and repetitive, often lacking logical coherence while still feeling authentic. The technique mirrors the approach used in Asian scrolls, which eschew a central perspective in favor of an omnipresent view. The viewpoint fabricates a contemplative atmosphere through a never-ending steady camera movement.
